Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, then sprinkle with lemon zest, chopped basil, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange the asparagus around the salmon on the baking sheet. Dot with butter if using.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional fresh basil if desired.
